BB Installation

I've ordered BB from NTL and have a question about the installation.

Two NTL cables come into my house from the grey box fitted on the outside wall. A telephone line and the TV cable.
Is the TV cable split at the grey box on the outside wall to allow a BB cable to be run from it?
The set top box is upstairs but my comp is downstairs.
I'm in an area where the stb isn't used as a modem.

Re: BB Installation

Yes but the coax is a straight run from outside right into my STB.
Does the NTL engineer split the coax cable where it comes through the wall into my house, in order to make two ends - one end for TV, the other for BB?

Re: BB Installation

IIRC when I had BB installed at my old house the engineer ran a second cable (from the little connector box on the outside wall) up the outside of the house and ran it through the bedroom wall. I would imagine therefore that they should be able to do the same for you so you could keep your pooter downstairs.

I'm sure one of the NTL bods will be along shortly (well, maybe not that shortly - it is early after all ) to offer some better advice.
