12 Month Contract question

I was talking to retentions yesterday and was quoted a couple of alternative packages in order to keep my business, both of which will be on a new 12 month contract.

Moving house is a possiblility within those 12 months. If I moved to a property thst is not able to access virgin services, what are the implications regarding the remainder of the contract?

I am currently on XL TV with Sky Sports package, 10Mb Broadband (soon to be 20Mb), Weekend and evening phone, with V+ HD box - paying £72.50 per month. I'm told I get the maximum loyalty discout available to acheive this price.

My gripe is that Sky sports is increasing in Oct by £3.25.

In order to keep my business have been offered:
1.- Essential package with Sky Sports collecton, 30Mb B/B inc superhub, talk weekend & evening, 1Tb Tivo for £74 per month + £25 installation.

or 2. Medium plus package with Sky Sports collection, 30Mb B/B inc superhub, talk weekend & evening, 1 TB Tivo for £61 per month + £25 installation.

Both packages will rise in Oct due to Sky Sports.

The only thing I'll miss on the cheaper package is use of ESPN and occassional on demand.

Are these good prices for a long serving customer (approx 16 yrs) and is it a good thing changing to Tivo at this point?

Re: 12 Month Contract question

You would be charged for the remainder of the contract, I think anyway. Go back to retentions tomorrow, and stress that you will likely be moving within 12 months and see what they say.
