SEE - all that inspiration continues to work its magic!
I really do think the team spirit, national pride and worldwide admiration that's been engendered here is truly amazing and although some may not like him, I believe Lord Coe has played a very large part in making the London Olympics the success it is.
It's going to sad to see the end of these games and I really hope the media's fixation on all things negatiev won't return too soon after it's all over. Of course that won't happen and it'll soon be business as usual...

Simply astounding performances from Jessica and Mo last night. The final lap of the 10k was awesome.

think has to bradley wiggins he not just done it in olympics he won dauphine, tour of roumandy, paris-nice & tour de france. Cap it he was third in the volta.
Its never been achieved in cycling ever not even greats of the past.
We have to acknowledge the greatest performance in one year first englishman to win tour de france.
We could argue andy scheck, contador was abcent but you beat what infront andy scheck looked not in shape anyway in the tour of switzerland.
Farah achievements considering first brit to win 10,000 against the africans was immense.
Rutherford shock gold in long jump
To me has to be bradley just for sheer year he had..
Team for me the hardest.
sky team
4 man team persuit
3 women team persuit
4 man rowing
hell hard task to split this

Still has to be Bradley Wiggans IMO. Even if you ignore his gold medal he became the first British winner of The Tour De France, one of the hardest events in sport.

Andy Murray might be in with a shout if he wins today, even more so if he and Laura Robson win in the mixed doubles as well.

just seen 100m mens final just before the gun showed on slomo replay. Seems bottle looks to have been thrown behind blake of jamaica.
Now just used rewind it is only 18 feet or so it lands behind the lane bollards.
I hope they get the culprit throwing this could been very nasty.
Never ever known it before.

Re: The London 2012 Olympics: Current affairs discussion
update on guardian live feed he been arrested punched by dutch judo bronze medalist
Quote:
Fan arrested after beer bottle thrown at start of 100m race
Footage of tonight's men's 100m final shows a green beer bottle landing on the track, yards behind Jamaican sprinter Yohan Blake, just before the starting pistol was fired. It appears Dutch judo bronze medallist Edith Bosch - part of a posse of Netherlands athletes in the crowd - punched the drunk spectator who threw the bottle. The culprit was then arrested.
