Here's the medal table from 2008. As you can see, 12 of our medals were in the track cycling; which only starts today, IIRC.
|
So as a host nation we should exceed 47 medals & place 4th or higher. IMO & that is my opinion I predict 27 medals of which only 4 will be gold & we'll place no higher than (I'm changing my earlier prediction cause I can after looking back at the old tables) 12th.
4th in 2008 with 47 medals
10th in 2004 with 30 medals
10th in 2000 with 28 medals
36th in 1996 with 15 medals
13th in 1992 with 20 medals
12th in 1998 with 24 medals

thiefing scrouts nicked bradley wiggins training gear
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-surrey-19067265
never heard tea leaf before
think this plain wrong
Wiggins later tweeted: "Gotta delete tweet Re the thief, bad PR, never mind my kit though!"
who gives crap about hotel reputation why should he delete it.
talk about priorities in this country.
wonder who the security I wonder

Surely that can only be measured, once the games are over?

thanks danielf great to see sadly 4 some reason got bad start failed.
commenteray on rowing still poor sound issues.
cycling mo seems better only archery dont have issues that watched.
why 24 channels having broadcast issues are the cuts timed
my mum hates the big rings logo/londo logo which gets shoved on screen in frequent when the cut to new camera.
too be fair we had much better coverage in bejing needs sorting for sure. OBS done shocking this year hope olimpic board learn to improve things.

you watch rowing the commentators keep disappearing like ferret.
we cant say the broadcasting perfect when it is not.
cant surely be on my own seeing the problems.

And my prediction is we will finish 4th in the medals table and nothing has changed that view since the games have started.

The Mayor of London Boris Johnson was left dangling on a zip wire for several minutes when it stopped working at an Olympic live screen event.
He was trying out a 45m (150 ft) high zip wire at Victoria Park, where the Games are being shown on big screens.
