Having problems with my 100mbit (T3 timeouts)
Had an engineer out today, he pretty much said straight away that the issue was the super hub and that it should be fine if replaced.
However after him replacing my old super hub I'm still having the same issues which include: T3 T4 and T6 timeouts, high packet loss and very low upload speeds. To put this into scale I can quite easily accumulate 200 T3 timeouts 5-10 T4 timeouts and a couple T6 timeouts within an hour. On top of all of this my internet drops very often (happy to get 30 minutes out of it.)
My downstream power levels have been fluctuating a lot since all of these issues began to arise (from -2db to -7db)

Event log (seems to be reset a lot more often than the old firmware?)

Re: Having problems with my 100mbit (T3 timeouts)
i would say to open a thread at VM forums here
http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/...nd/bd-p/100_mb
When had many T3 & T4 time outs in sort time (not as many as you)...an engineer came and add instead of splitter a distribution unit
Still had for some time even with the unit some issues but not as much
Now i have take it out and the usal splitter is back because i did not had T3 time outs for a while...it seems is gone by it self ...so in my case i think was from the network because at that time they was doing area work to that period according to double speed checker...but the main reason i am posting is to post at VM forums where they may send an engineer out

Looks like the technician got a quick exit, you'll probably find that you will get unlimited techs/ excuses untill the network is repaired

ya, they did the normal dribble of a new shub magically fixes everything. Your downstream power is too low btw.

Isn't -7 borderline, plus I have not seen many tech sing the shub's praises.

-3 is said to be the minimum but recently I've been struggling to get modems to that

Re: Having problems with my 100mbit (T3 timeouts)
Already have a thread up on VM forums, figured I'd make a thread here to get some actual advice or at least something to tell the next inevitable engineer who visits.

Thanks ...personal i am interesting to see what will do for you...
In my case each time a forum team mode find different fault and had engineer visit 3-4 times
Last engineer told me (2 weeks ago) don't call again if you get disconnections until end of july begin of august because your area still under work
Then next day i find out is a new double speed checker and saying area done....
Any way seems all good now about 2 weeks
Funny all stopped since area updated done(according to double speed checker and a confirm from a mod at VM forum)
Good luck with you & keep posted for update

Re: Having problems with my 100mbit (T3 timeouts)
nothing really. You can check on the VM website for updates but it is more for prace of mind. If you hae got a fault reference it shows that they are aware of the problem, it has been logged and they are on to fixing it

I can't for the life of me find the page to check the fault - any ideas where it is?
