Re: Football Season 2012/2013
I heard several rumours that Abebeyor will not accept a pay cut at Tottenham and won't sign, and that Danile is blowing a blood vessel at signing a player for 30 million quid.
Is is the same Daniel Levy that won't break the wage barrier at Spurs.

John Terry is so lucky, he wouldn't have got near the England team had king and woodgate stayed fit.

I think we (new 606 site in my sig) are going to be doing a really good fantasy league competition this season, all teams in all leagues and all here are obviously welcome to have a go at it.

He'll make up his wages with a massive signing fee and a low transfer fee from city.

Not only do Juventus want RVP, they also want Liverpool's Suarez to partner him.

l think the most important thing Colin is never listen to the exaggerated comments of the media as most of it is not true.

Manchester United defender Chris Smalling out for 10 weeks.

Not good news for United supporters.

most of its true, if Suarez doesn't move this window he'll get a new deal at least, machiavellian shenanigans played out in public by managers, agents and representatives.

I'm not sure it is that exaggerated. Granted papers will print almost anything about football, as the basis of fact seems to be a lower standard on that subject (papers inventing rumours is not unheard of)
But equally I though Suarez has said (in paper but quoted) that he was unhappy, and that he felt Liverpool made him the scapegoat (though in Uruguay, that might be scapepigeon)

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
Wenger rules out M'Vila.
http://www1.skysports.com/football/n...rfeed_football
It seems things are going from bad to worse with RVP leaving as well and in some ways Arsenal have not learnt the lessons from lasst season where we had the Nasri and Fabregas fiasco's which played out throughout the summer.

Ruling out M'Vila doesn't mean ruling out all players. Also I wouldn't pay attention to what Wenger ever says about transfers, he ruled out Podoski earlier this year. Arsenal have learnt anyway, they've already brought two strikers and the main window hasn't kicked off yet.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
Saw on SSN today that Portsmouth are apparently days away from being liquidated. I hope that doesn't happen. What would happen to the League structure if they did liquidate? Would they promote teams to juggle the structure, or leave League 1 with 23 clubs and promote one more team next season, or what?

I hope it doesn't happen although with tal Ben haim trousering 35k per week its hardly surprising, leave now tal you've done well out of the club, better than your talent deserved and take kanu with you. Poor old pompy never got out from gaydamak and his stooges shadows.

The top team that missed out on promotion all the way down the leagues goes up I guess.
