Need help please: Thanks in advance

Hi the woman over the phone setup my superhub an it worked fine wired, didn't test it wireless because i had a N600 Netgear router sitting there so i plugged it in an turned of wireless on the hub.

The connection isn't as good now so how do i get back into the hub to turn wireless back on. (Im sure it said modem mode apply, i unticked it, might have done the wrong thing)

or how do i configure an setup this router so it will work with the superhub ??

only just bought this router an it cost me £90.00.

Also should i keep the router an use it wired an wireless for downstairs pc or just use thesuperhub since the woman over the phone fixed it..

Please help need some advice !
.

Poke the reset hole on the Superhub until it starts blinking all funky.

Hi
i did not understand well what you trying to do
when you say connection is not good what sympots appearing?
wireless or wired?
If you want to use your own router best is to go at SH and tick modem mode
This will disable the router mode of the SH and wireless
Plug the cable to lan 4 http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/35446137-post348.html
then connect your own router there to lan 4 of SH and use your own router wireless

for access in modem mode is 192.168.100.1 and router mode is 192.168.0.1

If you reset SH you loose previous settings

What i mean is

The woman over the phone setup my Superhub using remote access an it worked fine wired. I heard theres problems with the wirless so i decided to turn wireless of an use my own router. But i might have turned of modem mode by mistake an now i cant access 192.168.100.1 an i dont want to reset the superhub because the woman over the phone had setup the wired connection up for me. If i reset the superhub ill be back to square one with no settings on..

---------- Post added at 17:25 ---------- Previous post was at 17:20 ----------

when i goto the 192.168.100.1 site i cant access device connection status or wireless network settings.

Re: Need help please: Thanks in advance

That's because it's not avalible in modem mode, you need to disable modem mode to get them back

Re: Need help please: Thanks in advance

for 90quid you could have got a decent Asus n56 or added a bit for either the n66 or a high end linksys.

with regards to your SuperHub. you might be victim of conjestion. try a direct test via ethernet in modem mode to your computer (no router) and test what speeds you get. try bt's speedtest as well as speedtest.net

what speeds are you suppose to be getting?

also post up your connection stats...

192.168.100.1

advanced setting below the 3boxes

click on connection to your left (grey/black column)

copy and paste everything that appears under connection stats

Re: Need help please: Thanks in advance

power levels are fine.

link an ethernet cable from the port rear of the SuperHub closest to the white cable to your desktop/laptop ethernet then stick the Superhub into modem mode. once all is loaded run speedtests via .net and bt's speedtest. also try a few file downloads > www.thinkbroadband.com/download.html

remember your on 10meg so the allowance isnt much if you download alot, surf, play games etc. youll bound to get capped/traffic managed
