Question Slow speed in modem mode

Hi guys and girls I wonder if you can help I,ve noticed that when Im in modem mode and connect via my own router via network cable I only manage speeds of 10Mbps but if I reset the superhub and connect directly to the pc I get speeds of 30Mbps,my router is a Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH

Any help would be very much appreciated

Re: Slow speed in modem mode

I hope that is not VM's new ploy: use the shub in router mode otherwise we'll cap your speed at 10mbit

Smile Re: Slow speed in modem mode

I've got a similar config - 60MB BB, Superhub in modem mode, and a Buffalo WHR-HP-G300N (@ Firmware DD-WRT v24SP2-EU-US (08/19/10) std (SVN revision 14998)). This is no reduction in speed, all works fine. And of course wireless is way better than the Shub offered! cheers.

Re: Slow speed in modem mode

Thanks for the info chaps I've got an old linksys at home which I will try as well as another buffalo will test both and feed back plus install dd-wrt on the WZR-HP-G300NH

I'm wondering if its due to gigabit ports on the WZR-HP-G300NH

Cheers again

Re: Slow speed in modem mode

Update one and all flashed with dd-wrt pro-v24sp2-17798-alpha.enc from the buffalo site and Im back on full speed

Only other thing I can think of is the latest standard firmware 1.79 caused the issue

Hope this helps someone in the future

Cheers Paul B
