They don't need to play on the middle Sunday. Its only happened 3 times in the championships history. It also allows the players to rest and the grass courts to recover.
I managed to get tickets for centre court on Thursday and saw Murray win and then Nadal lose. It was a brilliant experience, especially when they closed the roof. If anyone gets the chance to go i would definitely recommend it.
