Re: R36 Firmware Beta Test (was R35)
The 2.4Ghz PA claims to be capable of 21dB which is well above the legal limit anyway once you've added antenna gain. Actual receive LNAs and PAs in the wireless card of the Superhub are perfectly decent, neither exceptionally good or notably bad.

Actually quite the opposite, the Superhub has no internet access of its own in modem mode, nor does it need any, as the firmware update(s) come via the management network which is completely isolated from the internet.

How to be pedantic in one easy step
You know perfectly well what I meant and the fact that most people non-techie will see the cable side as the internet and the other side as the local network
Either way modem or router mode should not effect the firmware upgrades

You never need to ever answer another support question if that's the case

The problem here is the implication an internet connection is required (it is not) and/or anybody on the internet could send a (potentially malicious) update to your Superhub (which they can't)

Re: R36 Firmware Beta Test (was R35)
Yet it was answering if the superhub would update in Modem mode.. and not if there was a working internet connection

Re: R36 Firmware Beta Test (was R35)
And the correct answer would have been yes, because modem mode has no effect on the private LAN that the updates come over.

Re: R36 Firmware Beta Test (was R35)
Saying the opposite of the truth just makes things complicated later on
