100mb Dlink dd-wrt and no speed
Hi, vm recently sent me a dlink 615 d4 router, after my complains on poor wireless speed through superhub..
when i started using dlink its speed was same as superhub so i flashed the router with dd-wrt but same story i m just getting 20mb speed on wireless but 100mb+ on wired connection..
so i was wondering if any1 here is using dlink 615 d4 router with superhub(modem mode) can help me to improve my speed..
any help will be very much appreciated..
Cheers

Re: 100mb Dlink dd-wrt and no speed
well 'dont think' isnt conclusive, you need to check they are actually wireless N, not sure isnt helping anyone here.
you can check on the network properties page in windows (assuming windows) called "network and sharing centre" in windows 7. It will show the connection speed which sould be 150mbit or 300mbit on wireless N although I think there is also lower N connection speeds as well.
Also I would suggest using 14929 version for ddwrt, the newer ones I tested had dodgy wireless problems.

thank-you so much Jayster and Chrysalis, for pointing that out, otherwise i would have gone to buy a new router and thinking the problem is with router, i have checked and i have on my two laptops and they both have Wiresless G..54Mbps
Before jumping on amazon i wanted to ask does any one know good wireless N usb adapter in mid range price.
Cheers

Ask Virgin to send you their USB adapters it won't cost you anything. I use one with my laptop even though it already had wireless n and it performs pretty well.

300Mbps, which is good because I'm on 100Mb as well.
