Yes I agree. At first I disliked it but it is actually a great feature. All you have to do is wait for a few seconds after the show has resumed and just press play, sometimes I even get it to play right at the start of the scene.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3

Just a quick question incase I've missed something...

Is it possible to group your recordings together? Many of my recordings are movies and it would be nice to have them all in one folder :p

Yes and no. Programmes are automatically grouped by title. ie any shows you have more than one ep of are grouped together. I believe that Suggestions and items from the same Wishlist are also grouped into one folder.

And, for the moment, that's it.

You can't make your own folders at this time, which is slightly annoying

Ahh I see... That's a bit of a shame... but it's nice to know that the shows group together. Just playing around with the wishlists - Want my TiVo to record me random episodes of American Dad & Family Guy, incase there is nothing else on

Hopefully they'll add the option to put films and other shows into manually created groups later on

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3

TiVo makes a folder for every autorecord WishList, and recordings appear in each matching WishList folder. So you can make a WishList such as Category:Films, set it autorecord, with Keep At Most = 1 and Keep Until I Delete. Every film recorded after that will appear in the Films folder. You can also choose the folder name by giving the WishList a custom name.

Wouldn't that record every movie that's being shown all the time?

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3

As long as you record one and don't delete it, the folder will remain. (At least, I think that's what the OP meant )

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3

It is what I meant. When you first set up the WishList it will record one random film, but because "keep at most" is set to 1 that WishList doesn't record any more. But films recorded by other methods will still appear in the films folder. As long as you don't completely empty the folder you won't get any more random ones.

The only downside is that your "oops" list will include all the other films it didn't record

Ahh I see Nice little get-around Shame I can't move the movies I've already recorded... But this will do for now

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3

Am I right in thinking that if I added a Tivo box to my account and moved the V+ box elsewhere in the house, all recordings on my V+ box won't be on the Tivo box?

Also, if I recorded an episode of Come Dine With Me, would it then tape all episodes of it whether it be on Channel 4, 4+1 or More4? Just for instance, don't normally watch that tat.

Yes. (As in you are right in thinking that )

No. That would require a wishlist for the show. You might get some recorded as Suggestions though; which is why I give any one-off recordings of shows I don't normally watch a before I set a one-off recording

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3

Thanks, so would need to watch all V+ content before Tivo installation. Seriously thinking about getting one now.

Assuming you're not keeping it for another room, then yes.
