Anglia region in HD but local Meridian news shown
Hi All
Apologies if this is somwhere in the archives but I cannot find it. I have VM Tivo and live in the ITV Anglia region when watching local news in HD for some reason it shows Meridian. Can anyone expalin and can this be changed to Anglia.

ITV1 HD has bigger and fewer regions than ITV1 SD, so the news broadcasts may not be the same between the two

More specifically, ITV1 HD does not broadcast all the same regions as ITV1. Therefore whilst some regions will match up, some regions might get the nearest large ITV region.
ITV national and regional news isn't in HD anyway in any region, and probably won't be for some time, so you might as well switch to ITV1 anyway.
BBC One HD has no regional programming at all.

Yes mate, we don't get BBC regional news in HD. Not really sure why you need it in HD anyway, although I can understand why receiving "local" news from another region would be irritating.

The thing that annoys me about this is I am happy to stay on BBC1 HD, but have to switch over to SD to watch the regional news
