Selling old box

I have and old Tivo box I no longer need (downgraded from multi room)

I had a quick look on ebay and they are going for about 40-50 quid which I did not expect?

Why would people buy Tivo boxes? Just to rip out the Hard drive? Or could they actually use them (by ringing up Virgin or something?)

Thanks in advance

Virgin will never reconnect a Tivo that was purchased on eBay. I think some buy them to use them as door stops.

Re: Selling old box

Nope, if you're no longer using it for a Virginmedia service it should be returned to Virginmedia as it doesn't belong to you

Of course the person who successfully sells them for any money at all will be severely out of pocket when Virgin Media come looking for their property.

If you have downgraded from multi-room and are still in possession of Virgin Media's equipment, you should arrange to have it returned to owner.
