Angry Will ITV have 5.1 sound for the Euros?

I hope they do, otherwise it is a disgrace! I can't believe they don't broadcast their football in surround sound..

Re: Will ITV have 5.1 sound for the Euros?

I would say no and your right it is a disgrace, ITV have been broadcasting and testing HD transmissions now for 4 - 5 years and still no 5.1 sound, thank god for the BBC.
p.s. i have a theory as to why England fail to impress at tournaments, it's because their matches are on terrestrial TV.. ITV football coverage is rubbish, from the Commentators to the 'Anal'isers.

Re: Will ITV have 5.1 sound for the Euros?

Are you sure that some STV progs are 5.1, earlier in the year my region (Granada) switched to Dolby, but we didn't get any 5.1 broadcasts, but when i checked recently the dolby (on virgin) had gone off and we was back to pcm stereo.

Yup, seems it depends on region. Unluckily for me, it seems my region has not been updated yet...

I second that, lets hope ITV don't have anymore England matches in their schedule.

Its the same on all EPGs.

BBC have first choice of the QFs and will decide after the England game - so we don't know who will be showing the matches yet..

There is a match each day on Thur, Fri, Sat and Sun - BBC have two and ITV have two.
