Devolo 200 av wireless n problems for silver surfer

Sorry for the elementary query but I am an IT numpty.

I had a belkin wireless router attached to Virgin Cable Modem (CISCO but it kept losing signal so I decided to splash out on a Devolo 200.

Hmmm...nothing is ever straightforward.

All set up and wirelss is functioning (all green lights showing) on my Desktop and my laptop but they won't both work off the wireless connection at the same time. I have to reset the modem if I switchfrom one to the other. One of them always shows it is connected but won't go to any websites and sometimes just says limited or no connectivity. dLAN is showing as working but does not function.

Also I have never used the modem directly into the back of my PC or laptop but when I have just tried to do so I get no internet connection at all or again limited or no connectivity.

Why is the cable modem not allowing access to the internet even if I disable wireless? When I had the belkin it was connected at about 2-3mb even though Virgin boast it should be 20. Even with the Devolo I am only getting 3-3.5mb een when wirelss is in the same room.

Help!

1. call VM for SuperHub (free). you can avoid calling by logging into MyVirginMedia to see if theres a free upgrade option

2. return the Devolo

3. get onto Belkin for a replacement, youve got lifetime warranty with that Belkin router
