Sky sports Extra
Seeing as I pay for sky sports do I have access to this content?
I waited 3 years for the red button to be available on Virgin so I could watch Super Rugby. Now, when I finally have it, they move the matches to Sky Sports extra.
There are 3 important matches on this "extra" channel today.
How do I access them?
Thanks

Re: Sky sports Extra
You will find the Sky Sports Red Button schedule for May HERE
You should find the Red Button appearing on the channel stated when the event is in progress. If it does not appear, try a reboot.

Re: Sky sports Extra
In that case no, Sky haven't given Virgin access to it.

Magnificent.
What a shambles. I'd complain to Ofcom again but they are powerless.

Oh I know that. It's just typical that once red button was sorted, they find another way to avoid showing this content.
I pay about £30 for sky sports a month, yet can't see these games.
I don't see how Sky can complain at people illegaly watching this streaming content on the internet.
Because this situation is ridiculous.

Re: Sky sports Extra
Completely agree - we're still "Sky Customers" via Virgin Media - ie we pay VM, they pay Sky. Sky seem to think that we'll cave in an join them instead, but don't realise that this simply makes them a less appealing company to give your money to.
Sky - pull your fat greedy fingers out your well fed fat arses and realise that you are alienating potential customers through your nonsensical methods of channel carriage. You are the TV channel creator, so you should be looking to expand through as many carriers as possible. Like it or not, VM, BT and other providers have a dedicated customer base that will NEVER shift over to Sky simply because of a few missing channels or services.
You may have a lot of money and influence, but you are very much lacking in the customer caring department.
"Believe in better" my arse...

? You've missed something.
VM custoemrs don't get access to the "online only" content. (which is called sky sports extra)
Which means I watch it illegally via internet streams, despite paying about £30 a month for Sky sports 1 - 4, skys ports news and sky sports F1.

Nothing wrong with that. You get ESPA HD and of course with Sky Sports you get 3 and 4 in HD in you have HD Pack and of course access to Sky Sports Extra

I'm happy with my Virgin Package at the moment.
V+ and Tivo are superior to Sky +.
It's just a great shame about Sky sports extra. But, If they let us have access to that then they'd still have some sports content unaccessible for Virgin Customers. They'll never stop being sly.
Tennis and rugby followers seem to be the ones to lose out on this.

Don't think you understood what i said. Currently Xtra is showing Tennis and so is Sky Sports 2 plus Red button. We get the red button now on VM but Sky customers that are watching on Sky GO don't have the option to press the red button so sky have made a extra feed for that. No extra content its just sky customers have an option to view an extra red button feed online. I'm Sure there make loads more next season so all Champions League Red button games can be viewed online.
If your not happy move to sky or do what I didn't find a family member or friend that has sky sports that wont ever use Sky Go and get there account number then you can sign up and use
