Very busy yesterday working on M'vila story. Deal 99% done. 22 million euros, 4 years. Great signing for Arsenal and player is delighted

A the moment deal is done with Arsenal finishing 3rd, could slightly change if not but he will still sign. He chose Arsenal over Inter Milan

Excellent news if true. M'Vila is exactly who we need.

You did also say the Vertonghen deal was pretty much done but it appears not at the moment That Agent ITK guy is keeping quiet about that one. Loads of people asking him about it and he not saying anything. Think he has deleted the Tweets as well.

Javier Perez fell down the stairs so no comments from him too. i hope the Vertonghen move to Tottenham isnt true. people saying game time promised by Tottenham sealed it for him. should be interesting to see what Mr Perez says when he gets on twitter.

Well done the Hammers!! A very convincing victory over 2 legs and plenty of goals to boot. Just hope we don't manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory at Wembley now.

I don't think we'll go for Vertonghen if M'Vila signs. We would have three good centre backs and the depth to allow Song to cover in a crisis. Vertonghen wouldn't want to be back up and you can't really rotate a CB much as other positions.

Leighton Baines would be an epic final signing (I think we'll make one more signing if we get M'Vila) but that won't happen.

i was thinking Vertonghen as leftback but yeah, Baines would be welcomed. Fragile Gibbs as backup. Santos the new Eboue can be sold.

I quite liked him, think he would've turned out ok given games

Anyway I wouldn't be too disappointed if we don't get a new left back, Santos is fine as back up and whilst Gibbs is inexperienced the only way he'll get experience is with game time. His injury record is a concern.

We're seeing a shift away from the youth policy now but I seriously hope we continue it in a smaller form with young players being placed into a more experienced first team. I think the way Fabregas influenced Wilshere's development is an example of how this can work. We have Wilshere, Gibbs and Szczesny as the young players that go into this first team and I think that works well. They will be supported by the likes of Van Persie, Vermaelen, Sagna, Walcott and Arteta (so weird to think Walcott is now a senior player, still only 23). M'Vila is only 21 as well.

Santos has filled in ok but if we are to push on we need to strengthen.

Gibbs needs game time. As third choice he'll hardly get any.
