We see physical mauling defending like this all the time and nothing is done about week in and week out so and now a ref suddenly decides to pull out a red card.

nothing sad about it Den. It was a red. He clearly kneed a player, it wasnt even a sly dig.
Van Persie got sent off for nothing at the Nou Camp. Taking a shot after the whistle sounded in a noisey stadium... now that is sad.
