Virgin Media back up

I keep getting a message that I am nearing my limit on virgin media backup when I have only used 2.85mb out of 10 mb, and then a further message sugesting I buy more space.
Has any one else experienced this ?

Re: Virgin Media back up

10GB and have you allocated any space to other users ?

Are you sure you have 10 and not 5GB ?

even so, that is only 60%. VM seem to be a bit keen in getting him to invest in extra space.

Re: Virgin Media back up

Could you have used backup and storage, the two different things add together for your limit.

Without seeing your account that's the best I can do.

Re: Virgin Media back up

Thanks for everyone's suggestions. As far as am aware and as the Virgin Media backup program screen indicates, I am only backing up 2.8gb of files.
The whole of my document file is only 2.74 GB - not all of it is backed up and all else backed up is favourites and a few e-mails.
Incidentally I did not get the pop up message today when I switched on the computer so perhaps the Gremlin has been sorted - fingers x'd

I learnt years ago that computers do not make mistakes - what they do, they do on purpose
