Next it'll be alcohol, they'll need some big mutha screens to hide that behind. Who thinks of these stupidly wild ideas?

people who don't smoke drink gamble or live a real life - they have a worthless unmeaning existence and wish to make the rest of us a miserable as they are .

I think that to, the more you tells teenagers not to do something the more they want to try it in my experience but it's ok a load of experts have told the government this'll work, that is of course if you believe the government want it to work...

it wont be effective, if someone wants to smoke they will no matter how many white screens, and to be honest i think it will make the matter worse.

Display the annual cost of a 20 a day habit. That might make them think about it.

you could be on to something there -show people what they could be the proud owner of rather than have the money go up in smoke .

Come on, let's get some perspective here. if you get your baccy from Trevor or Steve. it'll be about £500 year.

that's a big saving there.

Re: large shops banned from displaying cigarettes

What baffles me is that if i go into my local Tesco hypermarket the ciggies will be covered up ,if i go into a Tesco local shop they aren't .The delay in the legislation for smaller shops is supposed to be to give them more notice to effect the changes and meet the expense ,but no-one can tell me that Tesco or sainsburies ect need the extra time and no-one can tell me that building a cupboard or putting some doors over an existing display is going to be that expensive .

Maybe i'm missing a trick here ,should maybe look at branching out and building a few of these new displays

Re: large shops banned from displaying cigarettes

It is silly if the doors are being constantly opened and shut, due to the rate at which people are buying them.

it'll probably start the kids standing around drooling and dribbling everytime they catch a quick flash of the packets.
