Woeful display from United in first half, worse than the Blackburn game, and yet they are still 1-0 up at half time.

As, for the Spurs game today, it will be hard game, and l don't expect us to win, l say a 2 - 2 draw.

Well said. AVB didn't deserve that and then to appoint di matteo haha... your having a laugh. Well done Roman! the chelsea players should be ashamed of themselves.

Good second half though, Ashley Young's second goal was superb.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
I hate watching football on sky. The number of times they cut to a replay or close up of a player or manager or random fan in the stand or patch of grass etc when the game is going on is unbelievable. Show the bloody game! Its what we pay stupid amounts of money for.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
I always find watching the game on TV from White Hart Lane a bit poor. The camera position they use is so high in the stands that you lose perspective when the play is near the same side of the pitch as the camera.
I make that Man Utd v London.. 7 wins & 1 draw. 22 points v 1.

Until Chelsea get rid of the player power that is prevalant at the club then they will be going nowhere in my opinion.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
As a Spurs fan, United showed us that we still have a long way to go, before we challenge for the title.
Wether its Harry or someone else, we need to proof that we can fight, and also that referee's must be consistent, It showed that we were getting no favours for Atkinson.
We should have had a penalty in the second half when Abi went down, but this is football. Spurs were poor in the second half, and what makes it laughable is that Harry puts on Defoe with ten minutes to go, who stupid.
Harry if you have England on your mind, go now and give someone else a chance, since thing England stiff came out, we have fallen below par.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
Whilst I agree that Spurs possibly 'deserved' something from the game, the fact that Ferdinand quite clearly played the ball and that Adeybayor who I assume you mean by 'Abi', jumped up straight away and tried to get the ball tells me that he knew it wasn't a penalty either.
Perhaps the Gods saw that dreadful dive from Bale last week that I don't think you have passed comment on, and decided to punish Spurs.
Jim.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
Spurs fans need to calm down. They have lost two games, to Arsenal and United no less, and the rumblings of discontent are already coming from White Hart Lane. This is insane considering the position they are in and the season they have had. Title race over? You were never really a realistic contender and so what? Spurs are already overachieving in relation to their resources and still are despite the perfectly acceptable losses to Arsenal (away) and United. It's dangerous to let 6 months of excellent form cloud your judgement and change your expectations from the manager and the team.

So you think Spurs are punching above their weight ?
Seriously though, it is anyones title at the start of the season, but if it comes down to resources, it will be Citys, but let me say this, most clubs earn their money one way or another, not through some benefactor who will in the end walk away..............watch out City and Chelsea

But he has a nice winners medal to show for it at the end of the day.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
2 penalties, 2 important matches and 2 misses, what a guy!
Anyone see the Penalty decision in the derby yesterday? Penalty all day but it's one of those that happens for the full 90 minutes when the ball is coming in from a set piece and it happens in every game. So why punish it yesterday and not the other half of the season? If you punish it now you have to punish EVERY player that does that for the remainder of the season. Mike Dean's consistency will be called into question now.

Spurs are punching above their weight. They are sitting in third with the fifth largest wage bill in the league, although their net spending is amongst the top teams.
