BT vision? Any good?
Is it just a free view box? I'm unsure if my flat has digital aerial as I don't have the £100+ spare to get a new one!! Must be cheaper alternative??
Cheers

It's just freeview with TV on demand, all content from other sources are on demand, you get picturebox as well on it however that costs about £4 or £5.
I wouldn't use it. Not yet, not until it is able to offer a full range of live TV channels like Virgin Media.
Any aerial is suitable for digital tv.
You have been misled about digital and analogue aerials, there is no such thing, even a 20 year old mini aerial that you put on top of a tv seems to be compatible.
You need to head over to Digital UK's website for more information.

Re: BT vision? Any good?
Rule of thumb is that the majority of the country will be able to get at least the public service muxes on Freeview with their existing aerial (at least 15 channels), most will get more. If you have a decent analogue picture (not grainy) it should be ok for digital (assuming your area hasn't switched over already).

Not entirely true...
Digital antenna tend to be more wideband than the old analogue antennas for that particular area. So if your antenna was tuned for the top end of the band you might have problems in fringe areas for digital signals lower in the band.
Best to try it and see, if you have an issue with some channels then you'll need a new antenna.
Your other option is a sat dish and freesat or FTA

It will soon be in serious trouble when YourView is launched!
Until BT gets it act together then Virgin TV and BSkyB will still dominate the Pay-TV market!
