Problem copying to VHS

I have two films on the V+HD harddrive that I want to copy to VCR.

Setting up is straightforward and the first film copies perfectly onto an E240 tape. When it comes to the second however it copies for about 35 minutes then abruptly stops copying and the "copying completed" screen records until the end of the tape.
This has now happened twice and is frustrating.

Anyone got any idea why this happens?

See my earlier post for more info.http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/11...r-problem.html

Re: Problem copying to VHS

Firstly, check the duration of the second film on the V+. Has it recorded all of the film in the first place. When you play it back on the V+ does it stop at 35 mins. If it does the recording is corrupted and will be a lost cause. If it does run normally then you will have to play it back as if you were watching it, and record it that way.

Re: Problem copying to VHS

Thanks for reply. It hadn`t occurred to me that it may not have recorded fully to the HDD!
I`ll check that out and post back if that`s not the issue.

Cheers.

The full film is on the hard drive so I`ve just set it up to copy it in normal playback.
Thanks for help nodrogd.
