Hellenic TV used to broadcast on Virgin Media Analogue in the Telewest(Cable London) North London area(Camden,Harringey,Enfield,Hackney and Islington) to serve the Greek community and it is not available on Sky and many people are complaining about its availability.
When I worked in Faults for Telewest, we used to have a lot of Greek customers subscribing to analogue just for this channel in North London. They held on to analogue until it was switched off and rufused to upgrde to Telewest Active Digital.

I know until 2009 and everyone was complaining about it, it is madness, there is no way to subscribe unless you use satellite equipment and Sky don't provide this channel, it was only about £6 per month and was on Channel 42

Isn't it still on Eutelsat or something similar?

Yeah but that works out expensive when you want UK channels as well, I mean think about it, it is a lot of lost revenue for Virgin Media, if they had it on Digital nationally, they would have the £6 per month for the premium channel plus the £24.50 for XL TV, most would abandoned Virgin Media TV for the loss of that channel.

I see what you mean. VM have only just recently realised the benefits of multi-language channels with the Asian Melia package.

Re: CBS Drama will it be shown on Virgin Media

In the London franchises primarily the Cable London ex Telewest franchise it is a good idea to get the following foreign channels:

Channel S (Bengali channel)
Hellenic TV
PCNE
Rai-Uno
BET

In the ex Videotron former Cable and Wireless/NTL franchise:

Same as above but With RTL,CCTV,JSTV,Africa TV,Nollywood TV

In the ex Bell Cable Media former Cable and Wireless/NTL franchise:

These Bengali channels listed here by Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of..._in_Bangladesh

some areas have more demand than others and the most important thing is to meet all customer needs.

By the way some of the channels above used to broadcast on Virgin Media in the NTL areas like Bubble Hits,Flava and Dance Nation TV. DW-TV,Travel Channel and Fashion TV used to broadcast on Virgin Media in the Telewest areas.

Hellenic TV used to broadcast on Virgin Media Analogue in the Telewest(Cable London) North London area(Camden,Harringey,Enfield,Hackney and Islington) to serve the Greek community and it is not available on Sky and many people are complaining about its availability.

JSTV is only available on Virgin Media Analogue in the Milton Keynes area, which to me makes sense when the Japanese population is next to nothing haha
Well I would like:

BET
BET+1
MTV Classics
CBS Drama
Sky Atlantic
Sky Atlantic HD
Food Network
Russia Today
Fox News
Fashion TV
Deutsche Welle(DW TV)
Channel S
Dance Nation TV
Bubble Hits
Flava
The Vault
ITV HD Channels 2,3 and 4
Universal HD
History HD
Style Network
Travel Channel
MGM HD

Is Hellenic TV shut down, also why did they refuse to go digital?

I'd love Russia Today, but that's to suit a specific interest that I accept not everyone has. Sky Atlantic, on the other hand, doesn't excite me very much, but the benefits I as a customer would expect from the increased revenue it's carriage would bring make that the next "must have". Producing long lists of channels you want is pie in the sky.

I am rather keen on Russian Today, but do not agree with everything they say!

I am just saying what I want on Virgin Media, but will we get it is another matter!

Re: CBS Drama will it be shown on Virgin Media

It is at least available online. This is what Tivo apps should be used for in my opinion-filling the gaps in Virgin's channel line up by streaming online versions, not glorified adverts for Sky premium channels.

Sky Atlantic over the internet is only for Sky customers through Sky Go. Russia Today streams their programming for free on their website. I can understand why we haven't got Atlantic, what I can't understand is why we can't have a Tivo app that is basically just the content streamed from the Russia Today website? I imagine it will be down to rights, but what's the actual difference between that and me streaming it to my laptop and displaying through an HDMI lead on my TV?

None, surely?

No, Virgin Media thought it didn't have a wide enough audience so does Sky however, it clearly does. Virgin Media doesn't like regional channels which is probably why they got rid of Channel M,MATV and they also tried to get rid of Channel 7 but it still remains.
