Re: Football Season 2011/12
Lescott's forearm smash on Kaboul wasn't very pretty either, reminded me of Mick Mc Manus or Jackie Pallo at their best, except they actually pulled their punches, Lescott followed through with deliberate intent.

Hopefully the McCarthy rumour is true, never liked him. As for Harry, hope it's wrong. Even if it is Tottenham he's managing.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
Balotelli should not have been on the pitch if Howard Webb was doing his job right.
He stamped on Parker and that is a straight red. He is a player that needs a kick up the ****.

Very true and you can add Nani and Suarez to that list as well.

Balotelli...not 100% either way!!! For what it's worth I don't think it's a sending off but I don't think you can be sure of either!!

Balotelli movement was not "natural" but he was facing the other way, and never glanced backwards..only he will know... IMHO!!

Re: Football Season 2011/12
You can add the majority of the PremierLeague to that list. If it had been a wolves player that had kicked/stamped someone there would be minimal reaction but because it's Manchester City and Balotelli that did it, it has the Joey Barton effect.

There is no excuse for booing one of your own players as they are coming on. It was 1 - 1 against Manchester United at that point!! It's pathetic. As is the utter lack of respect for Wenger shown by the fans who have started horrible chants directed at him. 13 years of service, one of our greatest managers, and he is subject to that!
As far as I am concerned they are not supporters. The season ticket waiting list is still packed, plenty more where they came from. Maybe ones who will support the club.

Honestly speaking I didn't hear the crowd boo'ing Arshavin, I though it was all aimed at the decision to take Ox off.
I haven't heard the chants. There are certain things that could be said but your reaction isn't in the slightest bit positive so I take it their over the top?
I can neither fully disagree or agree with your last statement. The supporters have a voice, many of them saw certain players not up to par yet Wenger continued to ride it out. He's now in a position where he has to sell the flops to reduce the payroll before buying. He's got himself into a full on mess, he himself knows it thats why he's sticking around to fix it or he would have resigned by now.
There are certain things Wenger can still do to get the most out of this squad but it seems as though he's 1, fixated on this formation 2, doesn't want to stamp his authority on those who are not performing because it may ruin their confidence, ooo boo hoo.. its fine for them to rob the club then?! and 3 an all round wake up call.
You can't demoralize the squad but you can't blow smoke either.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
I was a supporter of Arsenal for several years but the negativity of several fans made me angry so I stopped following them as my main team. I do think there are a few things that Arsenal need to address before they can become title challengers again.
1. Force Wenger to look for a new goalkeeper. Whilst the current selection of goalies (Szcesney, Mannone and Almunia) are good, they are still prone to making some big mistakes in big (and small) games. I think they have never recovered from Lehman and Seaman leaving/retiring.
2. Ditto the defence. They are good, but like the goalies make mistakes that lead to conceded goals and/or losses. For me, the defence has never been as good since the invincible season or since the best defence retired.
3. Walcott needs to be taken aside and told to stop being selfish and to listen to instructions. Capello had it right when he said Walcott wasn't taken to South Africa because he wouldn't follow instructions. I'm all for players being individuals and doing their own thing on the pitch, but when they don't listen to what the manager says then they need to be dropped for a while til they learn to listen.
4. Whilst I disagree with the fans that Wenger needs to be sacked, I do agree with the fact he needs to invest in 1 or 2 big current stars to kick start the team. I'm not saying spend stupid amounts on players, but maybe offer Swansea some money for Vorm, or even Newcastle for Krul. Both are having good seasons this season.
And the fans who boo players, I agree that they are not true fans of the club. I simply chose not to have them as my main club because those fans made it impossible for me to remain calm and not losing my temper with them.

Szcesney is really good, and well rated and liked by Arsenal fans (and Pundit). He won't be replaced. Especially given the fact he is so young so has years and years to go.

Yeah, I wouldn't stop supporting the club but the fans themselves need some self-examination.
