Latency issue speeds and packet loss at prime times

Ok for the last 2 weeks, at prime time ie monday wed fri sat 6pm etc and currently now, my ping times increase by nearly triple my speed's die, and i gain packet loss.

However it's not local cogestion, it's a network issues at datacentre's?

Speedtest's are alot lower also

What's going on and is no one else getting this? If this is a congestion issue across the network, and something that will get worse when everyone get's upgraded, i would rather change to 20mb adsl.

Re: Latency issue speeds and packet loss at prime times

UK server: looks like the server itself is the problem.

German server: looks like VM's continental interconnect is overloaded.

It's not just that uk server, it's every uk server just some are worse then others. It's as if Virgin have royally screwed gaming packets priority.

Re: Latency issue speeds and packet loss at prime times

Speedtest.net's ping result is as good as useless, it's extremely variable and inaccurate.

As for the traceroutes, you're seeing a latency spike two hops off VM's network past tele-ic-1-as0-0. Funny enough, I saw a similar problem a few days ago - Igni said he thought it was return path congestion and VM running interconnects at near max capacity.
