how did you find this out? I thought virgin weren't announcing until friday? If you found this info online can you post a link please.
To those of you saying 120mb isn't much more than 104mb, what makes you think you'll get 120mb? I'd bet money you'd get 125mb to cover the overheads like you do on your 100mb.
Virgin say they will be announcing upgrade dates tomorrow or at the very least some of the areas, crossing my fingers for a date for my area and that is soonish. I got my double upload around half-way through the 1.5-2yrs or so it will have taken so i reckon by that reasoning towards the end of the year.

You've already been told numerous times that you'll get a price reduction. Nothing official beyond that, but you won't be paying £45 for 120meg. Everyone else is paying the same amount for their speed increase, you're getting an increase, you're getting the fastest available and you're getting it for less than what you're paying now.
Your issue isn't that you're not getting double your speed, your issue is that you're not twice as fast as the next tier down from you. You are only upset because you feel it diminishes your bragging rights.

The website isn't going to be updated until the rollouts start to happen. They wont begin until February.

Re: Virgin Media to Double Broadband Speed
I think thenry meant this link.
http://tickle.virginmedia.com/
I am resigned to the doubling of my speed being the extent of my Tickle.

Re: Virgin Media to Double Broadband Speed
to be fair I think 120mb is a bit pants considering most peeps have been fluffed up to 110mbit already. I would have been happy seeing an upgrade to 150mbit. I feel left out now

150mbit might be sound fair and square! Will VM change their mind and put 150mbit instead of 120mbit ?
But really VM should be matching HS2 250mphs to get 250mbit

The two have nothing to do with one another

Which means it'll probably 'fluffed' up to 130Mbit, and you are getting a price reduction
