In fairness, I'm not 100% sure that I'd trust me

But they also try to confuse people by using different units.
I know what to mean I have seen (for example) £1.20p per 10 gram, and the same product but a different size say £13.10p per Kilogram.

But again just move the "." to get the conversion.

You might want to check that....

At £1.20 per gram, that works out at £1,200 per kilo.....

Re: Revealed: The truth about supermarket 'bargains'

Always buy loose bananas instead of the pre bagged ones for £1.50, loose ones can be a little as £1 for more weight than the bagged ones.

Try it out with the bananas, in our local ASDA a bag of bananas range from £1.20 to £1.50, loose bananas which are better in quality for the same weight and sometimes more are cheaper.

And you don't know anything about me either.

Supplying supermarkets as a wholesaler is one thing. Being in the retail trade is a completely different thing.

Before you start joining in the bullying from the mods. I have never said anything against you. After all I know as little about you as you do about me. So it wouldn't be fair to judge. What I don't like is a couple of bullying mods getting insulting about someone they know nothing about. In fact Maggy just came out with a personal insult for no reason at all.

I'm sorry if you have taken anything I have said personally. But nothing I have said has been aimed at you.

I do know the retail trade, and about all the hype, gimmicks, and devious methods they use. And I actively spend a lot of my own time and money trying to warn people about these dodgy practices. And even if I didn't, then all anyone would have to do is watch Watchdog to know that what I am saying is true.

I think you have taken my comment the wrong way. As I have previously said, the main problem is with the big retailers. I would much rather buy fruit and veg from an independent supplier. After all they are usually cheaper, better quality, and give offers that don't try to con people.

They are....wholesalers don't use misleading offers to try and con their customers. If they did then they would lose most of their customers overnight.

I think that you have got the response wrong? The bi retailers get theirs sent after the independent retailers. the independent get them the same day as they are delivered to the warehouse?

Yes they do, But people do not know what goes on in-regards to the supply and demand of it?
