Tivo netywork connection

I've just had a Tivo installed and would like to connect to it via my laptop! I've descovered it's IP address but am unable to connect via web browser!

Any suggestions welcome!!

The network connection is to allow TiVo boxes to share eachothers programs if you have more than one in the house, though I don't know if the facility has been activated yet.

I thought that the Tivo would have a fantastic network interface but it's absolutely garbage!!!

Read the threads about the Android and Apple devices that can control your TIVO no need to be tied to a laptop to control TIVO
