You want to get someone to do a proper job we've had the same dish up for a good few years with no issue , since going back to Sky in March we've lost the picture for a few seconds once in a thunderstorm.

If you are losing your picture a lot its usually the dish isn't aligned correctly.

Re: Has 2011 been the best TV year for Virgin so far?
I can't honestly say if this has been the best year for Virgin ever - until about this time last year I was still with Sky having been with them for years. What I can say is that I've been given loads of new channels in the last year, for free, I have a set top box that blows anything else out of the water, access to the best on demand library in the country which is better today than it was a year ago when I first had access to it and, for the first time ever, I have multi-room, and its cost me nothing. If this isn't Virgin's best year then it must be pretty close.

I also voted no, becoming the 6th person to do so.
The reason is because VM refused to add new TV channels for much of the year and everything seemed to be about Tivo, something I have no interest in and certainly not something I would ever pay for.
I agree that the launch of Sky Anytime has been an excellent addition but previous years seemed to have been a lot better than 2011.

I agree with all those points.
Last year seemed to do more to add to the TV platform than this year and like you, and as I have already said, I have no interest in Tivo.

Has 2011 been the best TV year for Virgin so far?

Re: Has 2011 been the best TV year for Virgin so far?
Yes, easily. But I voted no, just to pointlessly skew the results (nah, joking).
My household went from M package barely used to a TiVo on M+ which proved it's worth within days. It's a killer PVR, bugs notwithstanding, and next year it promises to get even better. Plus more HD channels etc, and BoxNation. Lots to commend, certainly a case where positive points outweigh the negative.

Re: Has 2011 been the best TV year for Virgin so far?
No it hasn't been as VM have failed to show the best TV programme of 2011 - Game of Thrones.
Their performance in 2011 has been such that I handed them my 30 day notice yesterday as I can now get Sky who provide all the TV I want.

So if Virgin didn't add all the other stuff this year, and simply got Game of Thrones then you would of voted yes?

Re: Has 2011 been the best TV year for Virgin so far?
If they had got Sky Atlantic, yup - I rate them by the programming they show. I have missed many programmes I wanted to see thus 2011 has been a disappointment for me as a VM customer.
Hard as it may be for many VM enthusiasts to grasp, for some people, Tivo and unnecesarily fast broadband are of no interest.
