Is that right?
the 2 News channels are giveaways if you ask me so that leaves the 2 sports and atlantic?
£3 more, seems about right.

It's a Sky HD Premium charge though, so you'd only get Sky Sports 3 and 4 HD. the others are not classed as Premium.

TBH I would still pay the extra £3 just for that.

We had complaints after the XL pack had a price rise, even though a lot of content had been added over the previous 2 years.

£7 is enough for all of them in reality, Sky don't want to provide them though. It's only because Ofcom forced them to offer SSP1 and 2 HD that they let VM carry them.

I'm not suprised as it nets them a good few customers , that's not to say I agree though. A VM subscriber pays 22.50 plus 7.00 premium HD so should really be able to receive all the Sports channels in HD as Sky Movies subscribers can , however I disagree with some re Atlantic , this is a channel were a deal between the two platforms must be struck.

Indeed, you can't expect Sky to be falling over themselves to give away a USP.
I'm sure Altantic will come at some point, but Sky want it exclusive for now... I'd do the same if it was my company

Incidentally DF did you see the smallworld owner has been asking customers whether they'd prefer Sky Sports F1 as a standalone or free with Sky Sports , he said they were hoping to carry it so hopefully VM can strike a deal.

I would be stunned if Virgin didn't get it in some form.
