Catch up keeps crashing, so reported and engineer due to visit on Saturday. Was advised by call centre that the engineer can move recordings from old box onto new box. Is this so?

If the box needs replacing what model will I get?

I use a video sender, so I hope I can use hdmi and scart at the same time.

You'd get a Samsung V+. You can use HDMI and SCART at the same time. (Use the "VCR" SCART socket)

Though if only Catch-Up is affected it's unlikely to be a box fault.

The VCR SCART is CVBS rather than RGB isn't it?

Re: Catch up crash. What to do with recordings if box swapped?

It is, but I'm not aware of any video senders that use RGB.

Quick update. Box swapped, installer offered me TiVo with no activation or installation fee. Only costing a extra £3.00 per month. I said yes of course.
