I can't wait for my TiVo to be fixed and VM to release their iPad & iPhone app. When that day comes I'll be basking in TiVo goodness.

Yeah my 500GB TiVo is working great since the update a few days ago but I didn't want to rub salt in the wounds by mentioning it in this thread... remember the title has "crashes/restarts" in it - there will be bitching about how customers have lost the use of a service they're paying for and rightly so!

Re: TIVO Update = Constant Crashes/Restarts
The interesting question that comes out of this thread is why do some boxes have massive problems after the TiVo update considering all of the boxes are from the same manufacturer?

Re: TIVO Update = Constant Crashes/Restarts
My box has the reboot lurgy too after the update the night before last. Spent 25 minutes on hold last night but got through in the end. Very nice chap has sorted me an engineer visit on Monday, reactivated my smartcard for the V+ box I don't use and set up premium HD for that box.
Handy having 2 boxes sometimes, even if I don't need them

Hey crash/reboot folk, I think I just became a member. Mine doesn't even get to the home menu (green screen of death) so I think I've got you beaten.

It's a disaster if it has happened to someone, but thankfully it has been a very tiny percentage of TiVo's affected by this rebooting fault.

DF have Virgin drawn any conclusion why this is happening if all the TiVo boxes are the same

I believe some of the rebooting TiVo's are being taken back to the lab for testing.

When mine was replaced yesterday, the first one that the engineer brought in also failed after downloading the 15.2 update. This one had a little white 1TB logo on the right hand side so I'm assuming it's from a newer batch.
Thankfully the second box he brought in without a 1TB logo on worked a treat.
