I'd imagine that the current stock, and probably the next lot, have already been built and so would not be affected by any hard-drive shortage.
Actually VM can't get the Tivo boxes quick enough, which is why I am worried.

I'm pretty sure that you wouldn't have received an install date if there wasn't a Tivo to install (either in stock or on the way).

Keep an eye on your orders in my virginmedia though, that will alert you to any changes.

My install date is 16/12/11. The reason it is taking so long is because they are having to wait for shipments to come in. A week ago the wait was 31 days, so the delay is already getting longer.

And when they implement mpeg 4, there will be even more recording space (approx double?). Don't know how long it will take to get the non compatible boxes out of the system though; could be a good while.

Yep the the 1TB Sky HD box records 240hrs HD so the TIVO would be similar with mpeg 4.

Re: Sky or VM for TV???

Just to make it clear the al jezzera feed on freeview is not 24 hours and im sorry, but i not going to waste money on another digital tv system to get the channels that are missing on virgin media. When i can get these channels are less money if they were on virgin media.

Re: Sky or VM for TV???

We get the point - you would like Al-Jazeerah on Virginmedia.

How about giving it a rest for a bit, please?
