It costs a fortune that way, which is actually how this thread started.

Re: Sky or VM for TV???
I'm only a forum newbie but I have to say I am bemused as to why Alan is with (or thinking of moving to) Virgin media as they clearly don't offer the services he wants?!
It's all seems a bit like me buying a 2 seater sports car (I wish!), and then complaining to the seller that I can't fit the kids seats in the back.
Bizarre.

I get the feeling he doesn't want to compromise. He wants it all his own way, with minority channels on VM just for him.

In life we have to compromise here and there and its no different if we are buyings services off a supplier as we cannot expect to get everything we want.

As I think I said to him in another thread, if he is an existing Sky customer (as I am), then he can keep his box and access all of the Freesat from Sky channels (including Al Jazeera) alongside his Virgin Media service. Simples.
Not his ideal set up perhaps but I can't really see any other option other than staying with Sky entirely and I don't really see the point in going round and round in circles about it!

Re: Sky or VM for TV???
While I agree with many comments about it being a minority channel and not being a top priority for VM to acquire , I find it's programming excellent and it's news coverage second to none , so I believe its wrong to be branded crap.
It's awards speak for themselves

Oh believe me, I'm in retail, and some people do expect exactly what they want, when they want it, and the way they want it. But they don't want to pay for a bespoke service.

Yes I understand what you mean MM as it is always good to have balance from both sides (even if that is the media). Everything in life has to have balance
