Re: The iPhone thread
I doubt it as you would have to have a massive app that had all the roads and map data.
As far as I know all of them need to load additional data as and when you need it.

I used to use NavFree http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/navfr...391334793?mt=8
Also, Nokia have designed a web based version of their Nokia Maps program that apparently offers downloadable maps. Just go to http://m.maps.ovi.com/ on Safari on your phone.

Re: The iPhone thread
Cool. iOS 5 runs nicely on my 4. Even played around with Voiceover, and it seems good.

Re: The iPhone thread
I like the new voice in ios 5, the web rotor gets on my tilt though, but at least I can use my iPad and get loads of battery life when I turn the screen curtain off
I also ordered a bumper from eBay as I did read there are signal problems if I hold it the wrong way.

There are. There are two Antennas, seperated by a small black plastic seperator in the bottom left of the phone (as you look at the display). Touch both at the same time, and your signal strength will drop rapidly.
Never affected me though. The first thing I did when I got my iPhone was get a case. Actually not for that reason. Basically whenever I get a phone, I get a case because if you damage a case, you can buy one relatively cheaply. If you damage the phone's screen (as I have done with a couple of phones), they aren't so cheap.

Re: The iPhone thread
So I'm setting it up and GRR it's getting on my tit.
I have had a complete nightmare getting the apn settings on it.
Can't get MMS settings in and for some reason the iCloud push won't push the email to it.
For some reason there are no longer any options to manually set the apn or MMS settings.

Re: The iPhone thread
Will it stop Safari crashing as well? It's taken a definite turn for the worse since iOS5.
