To begin with it was iPad only though, the article I linked to was talking about them making it Universal which they now have but still no Android app.

Two possibilities
a) there is a secret 4th tuner that has somehow become activated
b) the poster was confused / mistaken

There's no question that it was a).
Actually, my tivo has just grown another red recording light, and I can now record 4 shows, and watch a 5th!
