I'm seeing "Ranging in progress" near DHCPv4 on my VMNG100 in the Portsmouth area. Called 150 and heard that there is a fault in the area. Is it worth me logging this or would it be attributed to the general fault which might be affecting me?
it will be related to the area fault. If there is too much noise on the network which prevents the modem from locking on to a signal it won't be able to get an ip address from the cmts. The good thing is that they are aware of it and you know it is going to be fixed.
