I can't say for certain but it could just be a small mistake and the webpage went online early. I haven't heard that it will be launching today or this week.

Re: Sky Anytime

According to that link Sky Movies on Anytime will have up to 500 Movies available so what Virgin are getting is the equivalent to Anytime+ rather than the more limited Anytime service of the Sky+ and Sky+HD boxes

Re: Sky Anytime

You are all missing the point about Sky Anytime....you don't choose which programs are available for you to view. So for example, just because you have the sports package, and your football team's game was shown on sky sports, this doesn't mean that it will be available on Sky Anytime.

The Anytime+ Service VM are getting is not the same as it is on Sky. You have to download the shows to the STB where as VM have proper VOD servers that store all the programming so its available instantly and there will be over 500 Movies available to start with along with selected Sports content and stuff from Living and Sky One.

I wonder how long it will be before we start moaning that the movies are not changed regular enough.

So if it's different from Sky Anytime, then it isn't really Sky Anytime is it?

Re: Sky Anytime

No it's Anytime+, which is what Sky call their bigger content service to differenciate it from the limited Anytime service on their boxes

However Virgin don't need to call it '+' as they don't have an existing Anytime service

This is where the confusion is. To get Sky Anytime + you have to have Sky HD and Sky Broadband. I have my broadband through VM, so I don't get the + service.

If I was a Sky customer I would be peeved about that, with VM you don't even need broadband to get Anytime+.
