Superhub inconsistent wireless performance

Does anybody have advice to give me as my wireless performance has been inconsistent ever since l have upgraded to 30mb and got the Superhub as it drops in and out quite a lot and sometimes says that l cannot find any networks or Windows cannot connect to Virgin Media and the thing is l never had these problems when l was on a lower speed.

does your wireless chip/adapter match up to the set settings?

funny you post this, i just asked Masque here why 30Mb customers don't get the adapter within the package.

Buy your own router, the super hub wifi is poor

no it isn't. although it needs improving firmware wise i can't vouch for it being useless. i've used 2.4GHz and 5GHz on the SH and speed wise I didn't have any issues, it always gave me a reasonable result and range. for me its now playing up glitch'ing because of the poor wireless chips in 2 of my laptops.

OP, if you do go for a high end router consider the new TP Link released yet not for sale as yet.. http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/87...b-routers.html

Where do l find the wireless chip/adapter settings as l am not a expert on these matters.

right click my computer > properties > device manager or hardware tab; device manager > network adapters > find your wireless adapter and double click > * > advanced tab > note the properties

* tell us what adapter you have if you don't know what your looking at within advanced tab

jb the superhub can still do the basics at a reasonable level. 30Mb users should get an adapter within their package.

your chips outdated. you can buy a dual band USB adapter, ifyour willing to invest in a usb adapter go for the top range one. most if not all top spec adapters have been out for a while now so you should be able to get a decent fairly reasonably priced adapter on the net.

l never thought the chips would get outdated that quickly so its highly likely l will get a dual band USB adapter by someone like Netgear or Belkin looking on some sites on the internet.

whats the harm in people getting the adapter if they require it? will it make much of difference as theres probably a huge supply in stock given the fact many 50 and 100Mb customers didn't get an adapter when they got their services installed.

Company policy, I think you should only get one if you call up, I've gave loads out and the customer has no intention of using it

everythings 'N' now mate. Belkins ok for adapters, i haven't had experience with netgear to comment but their probably good too. theres cisco the daddy too.
