Question TV not working since downgrading - advice here please!

On Monday I downgraded my TV to the lowest (along with BB and return of a 2nd box). Since the implementation yesterday, V+/record/On Demand and all that menu no longer works (gives an error to call 150), I have about 12 channels only, and every time I change channel I get a message saying thanks for inserting smart card, let's get you up and running.. etc. I called off-shore CS last night to be told it was a fault in the area and it'd be fixed soon. Just called off-shore now and have been told my box is faulty and a tech's booked to come and replace it.
I'm convinced there's just some provisioning needs doing but trying to explain to off-shore that I've dropped services and it's not been working since then is met with silence.
Any of this make any sense to our residents technicians?

Sounds like they've cut off your v+ and was expecting you to keep the sd box. You'll need to call up confirming your stb and card number

Hmm. Maybe the lass made a mistake but she did say she was making the V+ box the only box. I'll try and get through to the UK later and hopefully save someone a wasted visit and me more time off work. I've already got to call home today as well for someone to collect the other box. Could do without more time off work.
Cheers.

Can't get it through to them what's happened, so engineer it is I guess.

post on the VM Community forum and they will check the provisioning on the V+HD box, you don't need a service visit!

Re: TV not working since downgrading - advice here please!

Worth mentioning I called retentions just now to see if they could help (UK you see ) and of course not being faults, they couldn't. They did say the reason I had no V+ though was because I had been put down to the absolute free package not M+ so had lost a bunch of channels and the V+ functions.
They quickly sorted that for me and put me onto M+ which I had wanted.
Still no joy though as I presume I need another hit for that.

Thanks again DF for suggesting the help forum. One of the guys there has re-provisioned the box and everything is now as it should be.

A hit should have been generated when the change was made. Give the V+ another reboot and if still no joy then try faults again on 151 or you could try the missing channels hit yourself....

From the top of my head, I think it is...

Nice. Worth knowing for the future.
Such a runaround this has been with the call centre not understanding what was happening/had happened. Nice ending though.
