VIP Upgrade Question
Hi, I have just ordered an upgrade to the VIP50 bundle with a Tivo box. My question is about the second box for viewing TV in another room.
The chap taking the order said they would move my existing Samsung box to the other room but I was hoping that they would replace it with a V HD box so that I could view the Free to air channels in HD. The website seems implies it should be a new box but he said they would only relocate the old one.
Can anyone clarify this for me?

Re: VIP Upgrade Question
I think you would have to pay £20 to replace the samsung box with a v hd box.

Re: VIP Upgrade Question
I thought the V+ was the standard 2nd box for VIP50 with TIVO now? Maybe this is only if you already have one when upgrading to TIVO?

Re: VIP Upgrade Question
I think you could be right kgollop, i already had a V+HD before upgrading so kept it as the second box.
Would be worth giving VM a call since new customers get 1 x TIVO & 1 x V HD Box when joining as VIP50.
Good luck

Re: VIP Upgrade Question
Hi guys, Here's what happened.
I rang CS and asked if my old box could be changed to a V HD unit. The chap was very helpful and said it would not be a problem and he said he had changed the order. Needless to say, when the engineers arrived they knew nothing about it!!!
They too were very helpful and said it was not a problem and they would change it anyway and just report that the old one was faulty.
Now I have a V HD (second box, the first is a Tivo) but it is not HD activated. So far I have spent nearly 3 hour on the phone trying to explain, to numerous departments, that all I want is for the V HD box to be activated to view the free HD content that is available on my package (not Sky HD).
Some CS say I can have it but they can't do it, and the ones that can do it want to charge me £49. There is even supposed the be a free free HD activation upgrade via the Web Sales Team and although I have tried this, and I have had an email telling me it has been done, the channels are still not available in HD.
Can anyone clarify if the HD content on my VIP50 package should be available on my second V HD box without any further charges and if it is how I might go about getting it activated. Is there a support email address that I could try?

You'll have to pay £49.95 to activate HD on the second box.

They must have changed that recently then as I called in the past and they wanted an activation fee of 49.95 although I was all ready on VIP50.

I have tried to get the free activation via that link. I received an email telling me that it had been done but it hasn't. What is the best way to contact the Web Sales Team to report it. The normal sales and customer support haven't got a clue.

It can take a few hours, how long has it been? Also try a box reset.
