There is loads of sport on VM. some of which is from a premium channel which is free on XL, so funded by XL customers.
I don't watch sport, but I think it's good that VM have a wide variety of content, even though I don't watch some of it myself, so I don't have any complaints about that.
So I find commnts in the vain of I don't watch it, so VM shouldn't spend money on it irriating.
If you think I'm in the playgound, then so be it.

Additionally, VM have On Demand, which improves viewing choice.

As do BT Vision and Sky granted you need to take their BB though.

To be honest, VM's On Demand has been somewhat lacking in new content that I deem worth watching - just my tuppence though!

Well hopefully the rumoured increase in content on Sky Anytime should improve that somewhat soon.

Re: Sky Atlantic HD coming to virgin media ?
Sorry people I just cannot get excited about this channel, from the preview of shows I see I just don't care. If though programmes from SKY One move across I would then be annoyed, like the Middle, Hawaii 5 O, Simpsons etc
I am more than happy with the content coming out of SyFi and FX at present to worry about SKY Atlantic!

Yup. But if they buy NCIS, The Mentalist or Castle, there will be blood.

If they also got Haven, Warehouse 13, Fallen Skies, Dexter and the walking dead, I would join you in this vendetta

Re: Sky Atlantic HD coming to virgin media ?
I'll say this until I'm blue in the face - VM were very naive for not writing in channels such as Atlantic into the carriage deal they agreed when they sold off Flextech.
As it stands, Sky could just move all the decent Sky 1 content over to Sky Atlantic (or force a delay to Sky 1) and Virgin would be powerless to stop it.

Each to their own but Game of Thrones urinates over each of these shows, of which I only rate the Walking Dead as being a must watch show - gave up on the rest.
From the little I have seen of Boardwalk Empire that also looks like it has the potential to be far superior to these shows.

Sky do not provide Catch-Up TV, which is the most popular of the On Demand offerings.

As if Sky would have agreed to that..
VM got a good deal for it's customers, Sky aren't a charity and need to make money and have good subscriber growth too.
I'm no fan of Sky, but lets be fair

Re: Sky Atlantic HD coming to virgin media ?
Atlantic did not exist when the vmtv deal was done. It was announced on the day Sky One HD went line on cable which was several months after the deal had been signed.
