Tp extender

havin a bit of a mare - currently have the little black Vm 256 router linked to a wgr614v9, and am now trying to add an extender so a neighbour can mooch my signal for a while [ yes i know your not supposed to do that ] but he's forked out for the unit a Tplink tl-wa730re - am at the verge of saying stuff it and upgrading to 30mb so i get the superhub as that should make this a damn sight easier. Am fairly Pc literate but an absolutenumpty with networks, any help appreciated.

Re: Tp extender

The superhub doesn't make anything easier, quite the contrary in lots of cases.

Re: Tp extender

set up its mode, security key (password) etc. via ethernet linked to a system. change the web interface IP too so you haven't got 2 of the same IP's to access the router interface and extender. once set up link it up to your router not directly to your VM modem.
