Not from this?

It was announced on 29 July 2011 that Sky Sports and BBC would team up to show the races in F1 in 2012. Sky Sports will show every single race as well as practice sessions and qualifying sessions ad-free, while the BBC would show 10 races live, including the Monaco, British and Season Finale races (also in HD). The other races would be shown deferred, so that all the races could still be seen by the free to air viewers, although these would be the highlights and not the full race

Yes I know what you mean but there is this?

Quote:
TV stations all take what is known as the "World Feed", either produced by the FOM (Formula One Management) or occasionally, the "host broadcaster". The only station that originally differed from this was "Premiere"—a German channel which offers all sessions live and interactive, with features such as the onboard channel. This service was more widely available around Europe until the end of 2002, when the cost of a whole different feed for the digital interactive services was thought too much.
Quote:
However, upon the commencement of its coverage for the 2009 season, the BBC reintroduced complementary features such as the "red button" in-car camera angles, multiple soundtracks (broadcast commentary, CBBC commentary for children, or ambient sound only) and a rolling highlights package. Different combinations of these features are available across the various digital platforms (Freeview, Freesat, Sky, Virgin Media cable and the BBC F1 web site) prior to, during, and after the race weekend. Not all services are available across all the various platforms due to technical constraints. The BBC also broadcasts a post-race programme called "F1 Forum" on the digital terrestrial platforms' "red button" interactive services.

I had Sky Digital installed simply for F1D+ and paid £12 per race for the first nine races then a £50 season ticket for the remainder. Sky channel 434.

Re: F1 on Sky Sports

SKY will move it to different channels depending on what sport is also on.
Like other motorsport it will bounce the channel line up from Sky sports 2-4.
The NFL ( sky sports 4) and UK football ( Sky sports 1 & 2 ) take over Sunday nights from August in the F1 season. Cricket will get bounced to Sky sports 2-3, this will leave Sky sports 3, Sky sports News or Sky one, if Formula 1 Clashes with the others. unlike the BBC Sky does not have problems with Program time conflicts and wont have to remove Regular programs out of time slot for sport.

Sky Sports 2 - when football is on.
I'm not asking for speculation MB, but based on my own, I still think we (VM) will have at least Sky Sports HD3 by the start of the next F1 season.

There will be a time when there will be more than just football on HD1 or HD2.
As I understand it (please correct me if I'm wrong) I thought F1 will be in HD across ALL platforms, if thats the case then there is a lot of talking to do with other platforms? Thats why IMO I personally think that we could have at least HD3 by then.

Hey I know it's all speculation but, it gives me something positive to look forward to..... only time will tell.

Well your wrong BT Vision have no HD sky channels or Top Up TV , all the races will be available in HD anyway half live on the BBC and extended HD highlights on the other half on BBC.

Hazard a guess what will happen if football is on HD1,and England test cricket coverage on sky sports HD2.

Its alright to say what will happen when football is on,but england test matches are always on HD1/2.

Neither of those in my opinion is up for moving about. But of course i suspect betwen both the others F1 could juggle between HD1/2.

That's the problem with so much sport , I think Sky Sports 5 could be in the not so distant future.

They can/will use Sky Sports 3 if they need to move the Cricket.

Or use the Red Button for more live sports - like BBC Sport do.

Please read my post again muppetman11. I know they don't have it, thats why i said there needs to be talks.

I know there is no problem with it being shown in SD, that is currently available to everyone. If there is no room on SD/HD1 or 2 then yes, it could be moved to 3 or 4 or even behind the "red button".

All I was trying to point out was IF it has to available in HD to EVERYONE, then...... talks will need to proceed.

I know what you meant , but there are no requirements re HD on every platform or someone would have posted them by now , HD3 and HD4 will arrive sometime on VM but that's not linked to F1. There was no offence meant.
