Moving TV box to upstairs

Hello. Just a quick question. I'm wanting to buy WWE Summerslam tonight, but downstairs living room (where the digital box usually is) is been used. So i was thinking is it possible to bring the box upstairs. We have the modem installed in this room and there's a spare coax socket on the wall where the modem's connected to. Is this possible or is some techinal wizadry required to do this?

Thanx

You can put it in place of your modem
