Sky Sports News HD isn't a 'basic' channel any more and I don't see us getting Sky News HD either.

Its took them 9 month upto Sky Arts 1 & 2 HD so I don't think any more fruit will be gathered from that deal 12 month on.

Also, please stop linking to any hint, rumour, murmur, wall carving and inkling of news, clearly anything the VM staff know they're not allowed to say based on the staff that are on here so they're not going to give away anything on Virginmedia.com or VM social networking accounts are they?

My Insider has confrim that UKTV Channels HD to launch on Virgin as part of deal.

Eden HD and Good Food HD will launch soon follow by Watch HD and Dave HD in October, with Alibi HD due to go live in 2012.

A: RTE Radio and WRN Radio do not broadcast in Ex-ntl and Ex-Cable & Wireless areas - yet.

Q: NOW THAT BSKYB HAS TOOK OVER VIRGIN MEDIA TELEVISION WILL ANY CHANNELS CLOSE ON VIRGIN TV?
A: Yes Sky has closed Bravo, Channel One and Challenge Jackpot down. But us Virgin Media viewers will see some channels moving about as we have now got Sky1 HD, Sky Arts 1 HD and Sky Arts 2 HD on our network.

UKTV Channels HD to launch on Virgin as part of the deal confirmed

Dear Martin

Thanks you for your mail which Neil has asked me to answer on his behalf.

Your email comes at a great time as Virgin Media has just completed agreements to launch the new HD channels from UKTV . I'm really pleased to say that we'll be adding them to our HD channel line-up as soon as we possibly can. - We're still in discussion with UKTV about the precise technical details re timing, but our aspiration is to launch at the same time as Sky or as soon as possible after.

Mirror: Olympics radio station to be launched by BBC.

The BBC is to launch a temporary Olympics radio station for London 2012.

The plan for a new digital and online service was given the go-ahead by the BBC Trust today.

It has also approved plans to devote youth channel BBC3 to broadcasting the event next summer for its duration.

But Freeview viewers will lose BBC Parliament to free up the broadcasting capacity on Freeview, but it will resume if Parliament is recalled in that time.

Cartoon Network HD As usually virgin media are always "in active discussions" Media Boy you should add this to your virgin tv list update

A spokeswoman for the broadcaster said it was always in active discussions with Virgin Media and could look at launching Cartoon Network HD on the Virgin Media platform "further down the line.
