Virgin Media STB updated but different menu now
So i wanted watch a bit of GOLD. Gold+ channel wasnt workin. Every time i selected gold+ i get this message
"Sorry, this channel isn't available right now.
Please wait, or try again later"
So i decided to reboot the vm stb. I take the plug out then put the plug back in. Then i get a this message on the tv.
"Please do not switch off your set top box. We're updating your Digital TV service which may take a few minutes. Your box will restart automatically when this is complete"
The update went fine and everything
But when i press "Guide/Home" button on the virgin media remote
The menu is different now. I only got 7 options
I remember first i used hav 8-10 options before the update
This is the first time i updated i think
This is the box i hav

Thnx if any1 can explain

Re: Virgin Media STB updated but different menu now
I know that they have updated the Samsung V+ boxes to the new UK5 code, so they could have now be rolling out to the other boxes that they have?

Re: Virgin Media STB updated but different menu now
There was a good article about this on the "mediaboy" TV blog, but it's either died or been pulled. OP: Have you got a Samsung or SA V+? Last I heard, this software was being rolled out to Samsung boxes but there was no date for SA.

Re: Virgin Media STB updated but different menu now
The box that th OP has is a standard Samsung (not a V+). One of the standard boxes.
