Not many bargains for existing customers, just price increases ( 5 on my xl package in the last 18 months)

if prices are the same why a separate link for existing customers?

Because there are seperate offers for new and existing customers, so the existing customer offers are on the existing customer page.

I would agree, but the OP is an existing customer, and the links and prices given appear to be for new customers. The prices might well be the same for existing customer but I can't log in to check.

Just log on to my account to see how much the TV L package with out phone would be compared to my TV XL package with out phone. Selected change my package and the only option I have under TV is TV XL. Looks like the new packages with out phone are only available to NEW customers, don't you just love Virgin, NOT if you are an existing customer.

No, it's because no-one can downgrade online. If you want to reduce a service, you have to call in

Standalone TV L is £18.50 per month:

I suspect the £18.50 charge is for new customers. I wonder also if that includes the £5 HD/record charge that L customers pay for using a v+ box? Mind you £18.50 is still more that the £10.25 sky charge for multiroom.

Re: tivo without virgin phone

I have come to the concussion all prices quoted on the virgin site are aimed at new customers, I tried to change my package yesterday on line, I had to tick the options required and they would then phone back with a price.

All the standard prices are correct (eg. XL TV £24.50, L Phone £4 with Line Rental at £13.90) it is just the discount that CS and/or bundles can give you.

I have never come across a more confusing site, it's about time companies had a standard price for their services. BT is just as bad with there various packages. I have TV XL with out a phone at £30.50, all I wanted to know was how much TV L with out phone would cost me, but no you need to phone to find a answer to that simply question, I have a hearing problem which does not always make that easy.

Agree entirely with you regarding clear prices. It`s all designed to make prices look more attractive than they actually are. It`s like all the `add ons` tucked away in the small print which if were put in large print with the rest of the prices would make the offer less attractive. Virgin aren`t the only ones of course, all companies do it,but that doesn`t mean it`s right, does it? One of the reasons I`m in the process of leaving virgin is because of their unclear and unfair priceing policy.

Could be joining you soon, it's hard for me to justify £30 plus a month for the little tv I watch, but I would miss the HD channels and the recording facility.
